What was the historical point of no return for Indians? I'm genuinely interested if their total degeneration was inevitable

India is the only civilization I actually believe the "we wuz whites" shit about. Looking at Indian history and then modern Indians is such a contradiction; I just cannot believe they are the same people, they have to have been replaced at some point.

>Point of No Return
Delusional. India is not sub-Saharan Africa where there is zero industry or any hint of stable institutions and technology. India is a rapidly industrializing economy with a strong services sector. It will inevitably be a much better version of China. India was stagnant under vassalship in the USSR and only liberalized its economy in 1991

Serious answer?
Colonization

No, I am not kidding
Basically, Britain made India great. Lots of bad things of course, but the country really got richer and richer

Then the decolonization happened
The system that the Brits placed require that the chosen leaders have a concept of Christian values and prioritize results over tribalistic ideals
Brits succeeded in making India great but their culture and belief system were completely tribal, clan-based, and hierarchy-strict.
Thus, the efficient system that was supposed to keep India running became an efficient system at creating a dysfunctional nation.

It's like having a nice car but replacing its engine with something not designed for it.

Society must work for its future. If they didn't figure out what things work and what doesn't, under their own merit, culture will not improve.

Thus, India doomed itself.
One way out would be to turn them Christians or at least learn to follow the Christian ways like Japan did

British destroyed India. Gutted it's industry, sought to mentally break it's people, and worked to spread divison wherever they went.

The people on the ground got nothing and they were shipped as coolies allover the world. How is that great?

>Thus, the efficient system that was supposed to keep India running became an efficient system at creating a dysfunctional nation.
British India had a fuckton of bureaucracy and ineffienct red tape. The British basically bloated the admin with Anglos who couldnt hack it in Britain or needed to pad their resumes, skilled Indians were funneled into government work due tk aton of incentives. India was basically a economic and job welfare plantation for the UK

Just like what happened in Sakai incident.

The French sailors were acting like asshole security threats and got killed for it.
then they demanded
Decapitation of the commander of the Tosa samurai and his men who were involved in the clash at the location where the clash took place
Payment of 150,000 dollars indemnity by Tosa Domain
A formal apology to be made by an imperial prince of Japan aboard a French warship
A formal apology in person by the daimyō of Tosa to the French consul
A rule forbidding Tosa samurai from bearing weapons in any port open to foreigners.

Yeah, they did.
They wanted only the guilty to be punished. But Japan gave more than needed, as if human life is nothing to them

The letter outright stated that they interceded after 11 deaths because of a sense of humanity. The ones who were not killed were later given more favorable punishments

side note, I fucking hate the fact they adopted the Ashoka columnhead as their national emblem. it's a buddhist symbol representing 'simhanada', the lion's roar, i.e. the fact that there's nothing 'behind' the mind, as the mind can watch everything, therefore it is identical to nothing.

According to their own historians they enjoyed tearing down Hindu temples and taking the heads of the statues and converting them into steps that lead to the mosques. So they could mock the hindus by stating that their gods were being stepped on. They single handedly pushed Buddhism out of India by setting all their temps on fire and burning their scriptures.
