How come Italians weren’t considered white by Americans until the 1950's, even though Rome was the birth place of modern Western Civilization and Hitler believed Italians were Aryan whites?

Was it because of their mixed race shit skin or their Catholicism?

Being a Westerner and being Germanic god are two different things.

White originally meant Germanic. White was never meant to be a replacement for the word "European" or "Westerner"

That and medjeet eyes. The reason medjeets are unemployed and spam this board so relentlessly is that rotating machines generate tiny particles that don't pose a danger to a nordic man but will immediately blind medjeet due to his eyes, themselves most likely a result of convergent evolution rather than common origin. This is why medjeets don't have any industry only farming, tourism and mostly unemployment with the exception of Italy where they use Chinese for labour.

Because the Italians were Catholics ( which was a big no-no in Anglo-Saxon American Society ) and were seen negatively due to the first few waves of Italian immigrants being Anarchists and Mafiosos.

Even as a kid I always wondered what Ancient Greece had to do with Sweden or Britian when textbooks claimed that Plato was the father of western philosophy. Ancient Greeks had way more in common with other near eastern mediterranean civilizations. European history really only starts going with Charlemagne.
