Islamic theology makes so much more sense than Christian theology. It's got a lot more cohesion and is less contradictory.

OP you are gay and have never read the Quran
the book was written by a schizophrenic madman and it contradicts itself so frequently they have a designated doctrine that when reading the Quran, anything you come across that contradicts something said previously overrides whatever came before it.

Outside looking in, I agree. They are more consistent than Christianity or modern Judaism.
If an American millenarian were to go to Rome and brag about how he shared wives with his peers the night before popping up for Mass, the Catholics would not care. They'd probably offer to baptize him.
If a Druze or Alevi were to so much as hang around a community of Sunnis, any stir they cause is gonna end with them being turned away, or worse.
Having a dedicated class of people who actually study the book, advise other followers on how to understand scripture, and offer guidance is what makes it work so well. Muftis guided soldiers mamlukes and generals to victory. Christians never had this, which is why a lot of the clerical soldiery you'll find among them engaged in demon worship. The christian priestly class does nothing and nothing they preach is ever recorded. I can ask one pastor about a verse, and another pastor will tell me something different entirely.

Of course it would be, it's founded on a single prophet rather than trying to reconcile centuries of "progressive revelation." Ultimately though, does it matter that fairy tale A makes more sense than fairy tale B?

You're not lying. They're very consistent as the word of God. But looking at their followers, I think it hinders people from start believing. As if the Koran was being handled by a bunch of poo-stained brown monkeys. If it was passed on white people, it'll be in great care.

Kek.
Well, what I mean was if in the alternate world where instead of arabic it was white runes, instead from the desert, it was from the tundra and instead of arabs, it was white. Back to reality, they keep proclaiming the golden age of Islam but where's the convincing achievement that wasn't done with petrodollars and on sole hardwork? You know what I'm trying to get here.

You never picked up a Quran and read it. Just eating Dawah.
Here is a fun one for your supposed cohesive position:
>And indeed, you know those of you who transgressed in the Sabbath so we said to them, "Become despised monkeys."
So Allah created the Jews by instituting the Sabbath, but punished the Israelites that did not follow the commandment.

If you are just saying that Islam presents itself as "cohesive". Sure, but it is just plaster on a wall, a big show for Westerners. Muslims have been killing each other for centuries over basic theological issues, and even recently with ISIS killing less radical Muslims. They were too busy getting bossed around by Europeans the last 100 years to kill each other until recently.

The Quran is more honest about human nature. I like that it acknowledges that some people are inherently opposed to this way of life and beyond saving.
