Goebbels is genuinely interesting, albeit the preservation of his diaries gives him that leg up above the rest since we get to delve into his personal feelings more than for any other figure. That said, anyone who was Gauleiter (i.e. a glorified Mafia Capo in the pre-1933 Nazi party) for the Nazis in Berlin and actually managed to takeover the city must be an interesting personalitym
