We might be seeing this real soon again in Iran, historically speaking of course. I can't comment on the current thing now but just historically speaking we might see this again in the future.

Despite what some of the diaspora will have you believe, most Iranians aren't actually interested in a Western-style democracy even if they hate the Ayatollah/IRG

I don't want liberal democracy either, I don't support Trump for bringing democracy to Iran, I support him because Iran FAFO and now they are paying the price. And besides getting rid of the Mullah regime isn't for liberalism, it's for stopping an evil regime like Iran that's wants to destroy Israel and destroy us in the process.

>wants to destroy Israel
Israel is number 1 sponsor of terrorism. Iran protected Christians in Syria, Yazidis, and Mandaeans. Israel financed and armed ISIS and Al-Qaeda:

ISIS attacked Israel only once, and that was by accident. As soon as it realized what it had done, ISIS apologized profusely to Israel.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/isis-israel-defence-force-apology-attack-unit-golan-heights-defense-minister-moshe-ya-alon-a7700616.html

Israel provides medical aid to wounded ISIS and al Qaeda guerilla fighters:

https://foreignpolicy.com/2014/06/11/exclusive-israel-is-tending-to-wounded-syrian-rebels/

In at least one case, it was discovered that an ISIS leader was actually an Israeli jew Mossad agent:

Iran is such a funny case.
Leftists adore the Soviet Union and China for their autocracy and secularization, but hate the Shah for it.
>Events which, it is felt, ought not to have happened are left unmentioned and ultimately denied. In 1927 Chiang Kai-Shek boiled hundreds of Communists alive, and yet within ten years he had become one of the heroes of the Left. The re-alignment of world politics had brought him into the anti-Fascist camp, and so it was felt that the boiling of the Communists โ€˜didnโ€™t countโ€™, or perhaps had not happened.

Iran's regime has to fall. That's all I know. I'm not here to debate with you about women's rights or liberalism in Iran. All I know is that the iranian regime has to fall now in order for america and for israel to be safe again. They literally chant death to america to their kids. They are a sick regime.

>Israel is number 1 sponsor of terrorism
Ah, the good old switcharoo.
In 2018 the US congress said:
https://www.congress.gov/event/115th-congress/house-event/108155/text
>Since 1984 the government of Iran has been designated by the United States as a state sponsor of terrorism. Iranian external operations, including support for proxy terrorists and Shia militia groups have played a central role in supporting this designation. These groups have destabilized other countries, directly threatened Israel, undermined democracy, and escalated tensions through campaigns of terror.
Non exhaustive list
>These threats include Shia militias
in Iraq and Syria
>Iranian-backed Houthi rebels
>support by Iran for the Taliban, as well as Iran training, equipping, and incentivizing Afghan refugees to fight in Syria
>Iranian support for Hezbollah, which is active in the Middle East,
Latin America, and here in the United States
>Last summer two individuals were arrested, one in Michigan and one in New York City, for plotting attacks in New York, targeting U.S. military and law enforcement and, in Panama, targeting U.S. and Israeli embassies. Both individuals received significant weapons training from Hezbollah. We do not know when they were planning to carry out their attacks, but it is clear that Hezbollah has the will and the capability.

Stop smoking carpets. Even if persian tapestry is beautiful.

The guardians of the revolution own 80% of the country, if the head of state is killed, the guardians will have the power per ayatollah's decree. They also are ready to exterminate up to 50% of their own population to keep power.
I really hate muslims.

Because the diaspora, especially the second/third generations were part of the Iranian elite that fled when the Islamic revolution happened.

It's like being in 1780's Canada and getting your information on what Americans think of George Washington and the Revolution from Loyalists.

100% factual. If you grew up in the West you're fed the narrative that everyone on Earth inherently wants a liberal democracy and if they do like their authoritarian government then it's due to propaganda and lies instead of them actually forming their own opinion.

Talk to any Chinese person, they know their government is authoritarian, they know they do censorship on a mass scale, and they want that.

True, you gotta be careful with Iranians in the west that only came here after 79. A lot of them really just want to go back to their fiefdoms and get their power back. I still think it's interesting what the shah did for iran though, they really could have been a regional superpower if the revolution hadn't happened.

People are saying it was unpopular with the wider population and had to be forced via an authoritarian regime

This is true, however bear in mind that the vast majority of the population was not urban but rural like most non industrialised countries.

We see this trend of radical Islamic supporters from rural regions supplanting secularist leaders in urban areas again and again.

Itโ€™s happening literally right now in Turkey. Erdogans unshakable support in his Islamist doctrine is from the rural areas where they have cousin fuckers and no education

That's the muslim brotherhood strategy. Build madrassas around poor areas to keep the poor kids out of the streets and teach them how to read. So they become good little muslims, make tons of kids and vote for the most islamic. The alternative is kids roam the streets or do/deal drugs so parents are all for it.

Intel reports indicate vast majority of terrorism comes from Sunni radicals, not Shia.

For example, Hezbollah protected Christian Syrians from Israel-backed ISIS.

It's what old white men determined is right and want to colonize the world with.
