From around the 16th century it's incredible how much the Catholic West had gobbled up so many Eastern Christian traditions. Pic related with the typical Catholic White Jesus is actually from a Coptic Church.
After some blatant Catholic "colonizing" of Eastern Orthodox churches in the uniate councils, there was some great backlash in the Eastern Orthodox world and a lot of the latinizing trends were apparently reversed. But in Oriental Orthodox churches they apparently still have very strong Latin influence. I have even heard that Coptics are basically crypto Evangelicals these days

Copts are only waiting for a strong Pope to rejoin the true church. Once the Church of the East stops their pointless infighting they'll be next.
