It is very likely that this fictional character called Jesus was created by the Roman elite to

1- justify the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem

2- try to give the Jews a messiah in favor of Rome

3- after the Crisis of the Third Century, when the Empire was in ruins, to make slaves, the poor and servants accept their situation of oppression in exchange for eternal life.

Aurelian had already created a semi-monotheism with the religion of Sol Invictus that he created on December 25, 274. Then he just put this Jesus in the place of Sol Invictus and said that all the poor have to endure suffering and humiliation in silence like the so-called Jesus-Sun-God endured

The Apostles never existed. Just like Jesus they are all entirely mythical.

this is the key that explains christianity btw, it's basically "turn the other cheek you fucking slave"

>justify the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem
They didn't need extra justification to do so. They already had it, they rebelled, and the Jewish Priestly elites were the ones who headed and facilitated it. They destroyed the Temple to destroy resistance.
>try to give the Jews a messiah in favor of Rome
Which was rejected by the majority of Jews, let alone the ones they wanted to destroy.
>to make slaves, the poor and servants accept their situation of oppression in exchange for eternal life.
Salvation cults existed all across Pagan Rome. Mithras and Isis were the two most major. Even Manicheans had this. It wasn't special at all.
>Aurelian had already created a semi-monotheism with the religion of Sol Invictus that he created on December 25, 274
Christianity already had a large corpus of literature before this.
>Then he just put this Jesus in the place of Sol Invictus and said that all the poor have to endure suffering and humiliation in silence like the so-called Jesus-Sun-God endured
There does not exist any equalization between Helios, Sol Invictus and Jesus. The only one anybody even tries to equate is a mosaic of Helios with a nimbus which has a very straight line which maybe could be a cross but there is absolutely no proof of it being so.

>Did the Roman elite pay a load of people to go abroad and get martyred?
Just go ahead and say it
>The Apostles wouldn’t die for a lie.
Woohooo! Wowza! You got me.

The apostles didn’t die at all (well, they did, but everyone dies). They didn’t die unusual deaths, or, at least, we have no evidence of it. Basically all of that shit is just Catholic fan fiction that’s not even considered canon by the Vatican (although they still parade the stories while discrediting the sources they came from). Best we got is some off-handed remarks from Josephus, and he often just wrote shit that Christians told him. Even assuming what he wrote is true, I think he only mentions James. Congrats, you got one.

So no, the apostles weren’t martyred. I wish this talking point could just die already. It’s a waste of brain power.

Jesus didn't exist but the theory that Christianity was invented by the Romans is flawed.
