Henry Lee Lucas was released from the death penalty in 1998 by Texas Governor Bush (later president). The Process Church moved to Atlanta right before the murders, and of course Atlanta was also home to the Ramsey family before they moved to Boulder. It was also home to John Mark Karr, arrested years later in connection with the Ramsey murder following his detailed confession. The Process Church was in Atlanta when there was a string of child murders there and in the Greater Toronto Area at the time when two sisters disclosed horrific and detailed accounts of child abuse leading to a highly publicized custody hearing.
