people sweep this under the rug but this was actually one of the big reasons why christianity was extremely low status in the roman empire. the greco-roman standard of logical rigor meant drawing clear distinctions between different things. a "human god" is an absurd contradiction which is why the whole field of christology arose wherein theologians try to pilpul an explanation into existence to cover up the problem. they also declare each other heretics that must be exterminated. which is why there are so many whacky views in christianity like monophysitism, dyophysitism, miaphysitism, poopoocacatism, etc. not to mention the countless other problems related to this like arianism etc.
