texas was the last state in the union allowed to be a slave state, that's why the northeast funded the terrorists in kansas.

The governor, Sam Houston, wanted to remain in the union just as he had been a big proponent of joining it to begin with, but the traitors deposed him.

Nope, Texas fought the Revolution against Mexico because Santa Anna declared himself a dictator and changed the constitution.

Don’t let butthurt beaners and boys who think history revolves around them rewrite the past.

Daily reminder that the Latinx in Texas (tejanos) fought against the Mexican government too.

Mexicans are just butthurt that no one in the region wanted to stay in their corrupt shithole.

But there were many other places that rebelled too. Only texas succeeded. The rest of mexico was brought back into the fold. But heres the shitty part. Santa Anna thought it was a good idea to create a single federal government that ran everything. You have any idea how hard that is? Only small countries can get away with that. Pretty much all bigger countries have states, provinces or whatever to make it easier for locals to run their own affairs. Even today in mexico, it's this weird mix of federalism and unitary state that's the worse of both worlds.
