Not really, they do worship a Jewish God and Apocalyptic prophet, but Paul (whom modern Christianity was heavily influenced) brought a highly Greco-Roman view of things that perverted and twisted what the Historical Jesus believed and taught. So it was really a fusion of Jewish and Greek ideas.
