It technically didn't end with Augustus in Rome either, but it's really easy to make elections a formality.

The existential issue of the United States is over extension, and mass immigration of non-whites, eliminating the racial homogeneity of the United States and leaving it in a more or less 50/50 divided nation. That last point makes the Bolsheviks of /his/ squirm, but you know it to be true. The European migrants of Ireland, Germany and others were able to be integrated into the overarching white identity of the United States. There will be a gradual attempt to recognise Hispanics as honorary white in order to maintain the homogeneity of the American Empire. Thereโ€™s a reason why Rome fell and never returned, whilst China has continuously returned and stabilised, and itโ€™s because China had the Han Chinese homogeneity that remained the majority of the population, but the Romans ruled over an incredibly diverse set of peoples.

You're brown and voted for Trump, there is no division and "racial homogenity" isn't a real thing

Crazy that when people look completely different to others that societal cohesion decreases..

Many European groups took generations to integrate. Many German communities only integrated due to pressure during the world wars. Until then they spoke German and were culturally German, and resisted the efforts of Anglo-Americans to make them integrate.
> Han Chinese homogeneity
That is not a thing. The Chinese empire continuously expanded and integrated new ethnic groups, s0ome of whom were classified as Han, but this was more a mark of how much they had integrated. What held China together was how efficiently it spread its culture and writing system through conquest and diplomacy. Many foreign nations willingly adopted large parts of the culture and even accepted vassalage for the many benefits it afforded.

And these cultures were unable to fully into a core dominant identity. Also you are saying that a Croat a Bosnian and a Serbian have more in common to eachother than a German in Prussia and a German in Bavaria?

>>17811907
Not saying that civil wars can't happen in homogenous countries, but those nations are still around today... and yet the Roman Empire which ruled over multiple identities and couldn't snuff them out and integrate them like the Han Chinese did has not returned

There is literally zero difference between a Croat and a Serb other than the way their crosses look.

One major difference is that yugoslavs in 1990 knew that splitting up would yield livable states that would be respected by the NATO+EU order. Germans and italians in the 19th century were looking at being opressed by foreign powers if they didn't band together.

Unironically part of the problem of america is wealth disparity. It is richer than almost all of europe, but the poor live absolutely destitute lives. And they're fed a steady diet of anti-social propaganda, believing that moderate social policies and programmes like richer european states have them is akin to stalinism. It makes them easy pickings for a figure like donald trump who promises another way out - removing the competition of brown immigrants. (Which might even work mind you.)

The deep-red Plains states have lower levels of wealth inequality than California or New York, which are hardly held hostage politically by trailer trash bumpkins.

No, it wasn't. You're just backpedaling, unless you really, sincerely, think California has a larger GDP than Kansas mostly attributable to better social policies (rather than any geographic or other advantage)

Nigger what
The problem is that the poor are poor. The rich of california could solve that if they paid more taxes, but they don't. That the rich are in california and not in red states (and those states are therefore, internally, less inequal) doesn't help the poor one bit.

What's the basis for this "average"? The Roman Empire lasted over a thousand years (more if you count the eastern Greek LARPers) and the Assyrian Empire for several thousand. Hell the Persians were around for most of written history.

The 250 year number comes from a SINGLE source, which is the book "The Fate of Empires" by John Glubb and shouldn't be taken as gospel since in it he makes a lot of assumptions and basically pulls that number out of his ass. He was a retired World War 1 British military officer who was endlessly seething about witnessing the death of the British Empire and retards on /pol/ revived his work in the 2010s in their schizographs just long enough for psueds on Xitter and tiktok to mindlessly repeat it.

Kinda wild that they use such an old constituion model. They never heard of a unicameral parliamentary or even the less effective bicameral parlimentary.
