Bavarian and prussian was more different than croatian serbian bosnian. Religion was also different among germans. Culture etc.
So why germans unified and yugoslavia didn't?
Its simple Prussians killed enemy germans but Sebs didn't kill croatians and bosnians they wared with austrians and turks not other yugoslavs. If you want to integrate other people you must kill the people who resist in their ranks

As I've said in the other thread, germany banded together to fend off french agression (and then do some agressing itself, but that's another matter). Yugoslavia had no such reason to exist in 1990. Also west germany was dominated by (catholic) rhinelanders, while modern germany is equal (and the disgruntled eastern germans get gibs, so no separatism there). Contrast that with serbian mistreatment of others.

What kind of mistreatment? croats had more rights and autonomy than majority of incorporated german countries

That was ancient history when they separated. Yugoslavia came together for a reason, but that reason was gone when it disintegrated.

Real reason is that Serbs fought with outside enemy instead of killing opposition to integration in croat,bosnian ... groups. Germans killed other germans to unify not outside enemies
