Realistically speaking, could Wanli Emperor actually prevent the fall of ming?
>silver shortage due to european wars leading to liquidity crisis
>little ice age leading to famines throughout the empire, wheat died and snow on rice destroyed the paddy fields
>droughts leading to famines throughout the area and entire grand canal drying up
>factional infighting within the imperial court between rich bureaucrats and eunuchs
>banditry rampant in famine stricken regions
>peasant rebellions
>smallpox epidemic
>manchurian invasion to the north
All of that shit happened at the same time and parents were eating their children to survive.
