Post the original, not the censored version. I acknowledge it. I just think the mentally ill copes that Christians and Jews come up with over this artifact are old and boring now. We need an infographic debunking the copes. This artifact needs to be put in their faces ad nauseum.

One of the copes is that they have tails between their legs and not genitals. They clearly have genitals. That's why it depicts both a ball sack and penis. It's unmistakable. No amount of comparison to the Egyptian deities will undo it.

One is YHWH of Samaria and the other YHWH of Teman. Samaria, a Syrian-Canaanite city, traded metals with Teman, an Arab city of Edom. YHWH is an Arab god of Edom, the Bible itself says that he came from Mount Seir.
It is likely that Samaria adopted YHWH from Edom as a secondary god

The goddess in the back is Ashera

El and YHWH were represented as oxen

Canaa was an Egyptian domain from the XVIII dinasty until the 9th century BC, when Sheshonk invaded Israel. Of course there would be cultural influences.

The first time the name YHW appears is on an Egyptian stele from the XVIII dinasty (1350bC) speaking of the Shasu nomads. Shasu means bandits, nomads, thieves. Probably Arab bandits who worshipped this god YHW.

There was a Jewish community on the island of Elephantine in the Nile River

>Yahweh
One of the many names God used to reveal himself with to Moses and the Israelites in Egypt. Lets not forget the many generations of Israelites who God revealed himself to without the name Yahweh.

>Adam, Eve, Seth, Cain, Able
>Noah and his sons
>Jonah
>Job
>Melchizedek
>Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Lot, Hagar, Ishmael

These are where the names El, El Shaddai, Adonai, Elohim, The Almighty, Jehovah, the LORD, etc come from.
Yahweh was the name given to the tribe of Israelites who immediately began worshipping false gods, the minute Moses went up the mountain. These Israelites are the same ones responsible for the atrocities in Kings and Judges. The cycle of Paganism and idolatry to facing God's wrath, to returning to holy worship.

The figure and artifact in question (OP's picrel) was discovered in the Northern Region of Judea and is dated to the 8th Century BC. Which perfectly places it in the time period of Samaria and its fall. It's also literally labelled "Yahweh of Samaria and his Asherah". Northern Judea at this time was at height of pagan worship and Canaanite adoption.
We know of Samaria's fall and of Northern Judea's rebellious ways from scripture.
2 kings 17 covers the fall of Samaria because of its paganism and adoption of Canaanite cultures around it. It even literally mentions the pagan God "Asherah".

Don't let this Jewish/Atheist copypasta break your faith. All it takes is a little research to blow the fuck out of these fedoras.

I acknowledge that the Canaanites worshipped a pantheon that contained Yahweh, it doesn't contradict anything in the Bible whatsoever.

I love that It's literally written on the vase: "hey guys, this is YHWH" and people still try to cope with that.
What is wrong with this exactly? If my God revealed itself to be a muscular minothaur like figure with a wife and a magnum bazoomba i wouldn't hide it at all, in fact I would be proud of it.
