>>17813309 (OP)>doesn't actually want to genocide China, just be their masters, doesn't industrially genocide anyone eitherWhile it is true that most of the 20 million Chinese who died during the war died of starvation, it is also true that Japan did certainly industrially kill at least tens of thousands of civilians. Well, not really "industrially" because they literally did it by hand and occasionally by gun.
They would line up dozens or hundreds of Chinese in a row in front of a mass grave and behead them, bayonet them or shoot them. Sometimes they would just leave the bodies in open air mass graves too or dump them in rivers or pile and burn them. Different ways but anyway mass killings of noncombatants were common.
But to be honest with you none of that is especially offensive to me. What is offensive to me is not the industrialized killings but things like torturing civilians, the frostbite experiments from Unit 731, the mass sexual enslavement of teenagers, these are atrocities known of the Nips that are not known of the Germans. In fact, the Germans were much more civilized and well-mannered in comparison to the Japanese.
And also torture of POWs was common for the Japanese. It was far, far more common for POWs to die under Japanese interment than under German internment. They simply are a savage people.
Lastly, if you think the Japanese didn't want to genocide the Chinese, you're just misinformed. They were looking to turn China into another Hokkaido or Ryukyu, in other ways annex them and completely obliterate their national identities. This is explicitly clear. They were actually in the process of doing this to Korea and Taiwan but were prematurely stopped due their rapacious and warmongering nature.
