Before the reign of Uzbeg Khan starting in 1313, the Golden Horde was still mostly a pagan horde with a few Muslim subjects (Bulgars), during this period they repeatedly tried to invade Europe.

Uzbeg rapidly progressed the Islamization of the Tatars, and we can see the results in the following century with no more serious invasions of European kingdoms, with warfare primarily focused on internal struggles.

Why did Islam, a religion that promotes conquering the Infidels, not make the already war-like Tatars even more violent, but less?

Because according to the previous sentence in your own post they lacked the capacity to launch serious invasions against foreign nations, they were busy fighting themselves. That doesn't make them peaceful, it makes them disorganized to the degree where they are incapable of conducting large scale warfare.

No, they could still amass armies larger than any European kingdom at the time.

That doesn't mean they can invade them. They had already been repulsed by the Poles and Hungarians.

They defeated a large crusader army at Vorskla River. They were clearly quite capable of fighting European forces, and this victory should have encouraged Renewed invasions in the context of Islamic Jihad, but they did no such thing.

Winning a battle doesn't meant you can invade and hold territory.

So in your opinion, the violent nature of Islam is a matter of race(Arabs vs Mongols)?

That's what happens to steppe empires. They begin barbaric and then rich in culture.
