Why was the swastika Chosen to be the Nazi symbol? I mean, there are so many other better symbols they could have used.

swastika was an ancient indian religious symbol
people were starting to realize, like seriously realize, that the ancient indian ruling class was related to the ancestors of europeans
therefore europeans had an ancestral connection to ancient indian symbols, including the swastika
the whole "aryan" thing, outside of insane nazi ideology, refers to the proto-indo europeans that invaded and settled in the iranian plateau and eventually moved further southeast into india. the entire non-european branch of indo-europeans is the indo-aryan branch, and the nazis considered themelves "aryan" thus they stole some random indian symbol for their movement

There's a thesis that Esoteric Nazis previously involved in the Volkisch movement believed the Swastika represented Mjolnir spinning given a lot of experts in Germanic Studies have believed this thesis for a very long time.

You mean the Bifröst, which is used by the Valkyries to whisk away the slain to the deathless halls of Valhalla?

How do chuds have so little knowledge about their favourite topic? And I don't mean OP who's just asking, but the retarded answers.
As mentioned before, the Aryan theory is based on the discovery that European and Indian languages are similar and they must come from a common ancestor (Indo-European languages). There was obviously lot of interest in reconstructing this people's culture and how they could have spread their languages to most of the world.
The swastika was chosen as a symbol because it isn't actually strictly Indian. It's been found all over Europe in different Indo-European cultures like Germanic, Celtic, Slavic, as well as being a sacred symbol in India, therefore it was thought it was the sign of the invading Aryans and it had a special significance in Indo-European culture. Whether that's actually the case, or the symbol has independent or a different origin in each, or if it actually spread from India (there will surely be some Indians claiming Indo-European comes from India) is debatable.
