Also I'm sure there are other groups this is true for, but I know that Israel at least should not be included in "conquered people who to this day brag about being conquered by Romans" because there the view is the opposite, with Rome being viewed as an ancient enemy and their conquest of the Jews was a sad event brought on by stupid Jewish infighting, and the revolts led to disasters. But curiously the view is also that while the Romans won the war they lost the peace, and that the Jews were ultimately greater for having survived and reestablished their nation against all odds, while Rome is long gone and never coming back. So definitely no bragging about being Roman subjects there. I would imagine it's the same way in a lot of places.
