He correctly understood societies are the result of the people who live in them. Claiming you're going to save Russians from communism is like claiming you're going to save Italians from fascism, or Germans from Nazism.
You can of course take advantage of Slavic infighting and side with certain Slavic countries against others. The Germans did this several times, first by siding with Russia against Poland, later by backing Ukrainian and Baltic partisans against Russia. But as the modern West is learning, this can only get you so far.

Communists can be sated easily with social safety nets because the interests of Communists are practical, pragmatic, and tangible. They want material comfort and security.

Let's take a look at how the Slavic world has developed since Germany ceased to be a sovereign state.

Poland is ostensibly a nationalist and religious country with freedom of speech and freedom of political organization, yet they are putting up negligible resistance to their rapid racial replacement by the third world, despite having clear examples of their future in the form of ZOG-ruled western Europe.

The two largest and ethnically closest Slavic peoples, the Russians and Ukrainians, are currently involved in a brutal war of extermination to the last man, one is openly ruled by Jews, the other by multiethnic criminals, Slavic ethnic nationalism is highly illegal in both states. Better not look up what they did to the German civvies inhabiting "their" newly-gained lands after the war was over. Freedom from consequences was all it took for most of them to turn into rabid dogs, destroying everyone they perceived as having any relation to Nazi Germany whatsoever.
