I'm not exactly sure what the idea of life being meaningless means anymore. I find it liberating; there are no expectations and every decision is entirely in your hands. There's no justification to fall back on, no healing balm for your suffering, you are entirely and utterly sovereign. To be in awe at this incredible world which is always in flux and which was capable of creating and sustaining us for however long we had on Earth is a gift. It makes you more aware that something insane is happening. And when you feel in your heart those long desires, it is better to have longed for them and striven than to have believed that some higher calling prevented you, or that somehow it was not good enough. There is a world full of beauty and goodness and it is up to us to have the will to take it.
