I got heavily into investigating Marian apparitions when I was trying to bolster my Catholic faith. This photograph is doctored, unfortunately.

That photo is doctored, you can see the photo was clearly taken during the daytime, you can see the sun is shining straight down on the crowd's heads as if it were noon, and the shadows on the building match. The sky has been crudely blacked out which explains the fuzzy edges on the domes. Mary was added to the photo after this process. These photos were faked, printed and sold in marketplaces around Cairo, this is not the only one. There is not a single clear photo of this event that hasn't been obviously edited. Eyewitness testimonies from skeptics in the crowd all report to have seen nothing.

Catholics will tell you their religion is so intellectual and philosophical, meanwhile they are constantly trying to get people to believe in ghosts and magic relics and other superstitious nonsense like this.
