The bible is the inerrant word of God. Everything it says is true and what it says could not be not true. It is the standard that makes everything else true, this book has absolute authority on everything of which it speaks, and it speaks about everything.

This isn’t preaching anon. You’re just mentally unstable and have a persecution complex. There are “Christians” who don’t believe the Bible is inerrant. This just another Christians arguing with each other thread.

Nope. The Word of God is Jesus, while the Bible was divinely inspired but it is only scripture. Scripture without Jesus is never enough.

Received text. Stephanus 1550 edition is fairly accurate, but there are other copies from around that time made by other people that are basically identical.

>>17826591
It shouldn't matter because the variations between the 1611 edition and the format used today are minor, usually just spelling changes or corrections of typos. Sometimes they were genuine format changes, such as the introduction of apostrophes into the text or slight changes in punctuation.

>>17826008 (OP) The Bible is the word of the Apostles and Prophets. Nowhere in the Bible you'll read God speaking to you directly, therefore it is not the Word of God.

If you want to read the Word of God, read the Quran or the Vedas.

The Quran is the word of Muhammad which is based on what he had heard from an angel which Muhammad hopes was not a mere demon. The Bible is a work of many authors, many of which heard God directly - God the Father during Christ's baptism and transfiguration, God the Son during his ministry and God the Spirit during apostolic missions.

Having a codified base for your faith with only minor version changes is a great strength for Islam. It's a shame that base is the Quran.

God in the OT has no flaws. The Quran is just a narrator asking you to remember the stories in the Bible but told different than how they actually happened.

The OT is the original scripture where you can find the direct words of God.

God is speaking to you directly in every word of the bible. Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

It is both, sometimes within a single chapter (Exodus 33). No man has seen God the Father. But they have seen God the Son, or as he is known in the OT: the Angel of the Lord.

It's a problem of context, translation, and interpretation
When it says Elohim in the OT you shouldn't just assume it means God directly.
For Jacob it would've been some hypostasis of God.
