I think it's fucking stupid that all young people everywhere know how to do is change the status quo. Like, no matter how good things are, you can bet there's some fucking young generation coming to change shit for no reason. It's exhausting because it's an endless cycle.

It's a matter of masculinity. The same reason there are no "great empire builders" or legendary natural philosophers, those spots were already taken. You get sloppy seconds at best. Oh sure, somebody's always willing to step up to the plate, but the world looks down on one who repeats the past with the enthusiasm of new discovery. People want a fresh place in history to stick their dick. If you don't like the constant tinkering, go back to nature.
