What is germanic/anglo family life even like? I'm italian and can't fathom them being anything other than autistic soulless automatons that never smile or enjoy their time with their own families. Do they have any emotions at all like we do?

It's pretty much exactly like Italian family life, the only difference is Italians consider distant cousins or sometimes even coworkers or associates as "close family" while Anglos/Germans generally stick to the idea of the "nuclear family" which is just parents, grandparents, and immediate siblings, with extended family not necesarilly being treated the same way. But other than that everything else is exactly the same, trust me.

Italians are nice, my grandpa used to work for an Italian family and they always invited us important dinners or family events even though I didn't give a shit about any of them and their hospitality always made me a little uncomfortable for some reason. They expressed hatred of Jews but were always more on the political left with who they voted for, so go figure that one out.
