Historically speaking what happen to bullying back in the day? Nerds, and freaks used to know their place now they just get pandered to. Back in my day they used to bully social outcasts, and the disabled and we were a healthy society because of that. So what happened?

"Bullying" in real life wasn't actually like it's depicted in anti-bully PSAs or in Hollywood, most of the time it was some kid with autism that simply pissed people off because kids on the spectrum are usually hyperactive obnoxious retards that need to know their place, and so some kid pushes the fucker down one time and then boomers started calling that "bullying". And the reason it stopped happening is because we as a society understand autism a little bit better than we did in the 50s and kids are now told to be more patient towards retards, and said retards now have an assortment of medication

Did bullying ever actually exist? When i was in school, any students who had beef just went into the parking lot and settled it with a fist fight. Then it was over and they never spoke again. This whole "follow a guy around and harass him" sounds like some feminine shit. Is it just American Hollywood movies that pushed this meme?

Place I grew up in, kids picked on each other until somebody started throwing fists.

Yes, it definitely happened and still happens. It's just not cartoonishly outlandish as depicted in media.

people "bully" each other because in order to ascend the pecking order, someone else has to go down. it has nothing to do with "enforcing cohesion" or whatever and probably can't be eradicate from hierarchic social animals

B*llying is dysgenic subhuman behavior. If a kid is being a sperg they get the cold shoulder from the other kids and figure out on their own what they're doing wrong. Bullies however hurt people for trivial sometimes innocuous reasons and continue with it for years because it is in their character, they get irritated by literally everything.

I remember receiving a death stare from this fat kid after I answered a question from the math teacher, I had to spell out an equation so it was a long answer and apparently he took issue with it, he threw things at me, went "ANON YOU TWAT" out loud, mashed the keys on my calculator, went "ugh" whenever I talked, tried to get other people to stop being friends with me. R*ddit might say he was "jealous", but he had lots of friends and was popular so probably not. Maybe he felt I was stepping out of my place in the pecking order, he didn't like the way I talked or I got the attention of some girl he liked. I asked him what his problem is and he just continued to act like everything I did was just terrible and bad without explanation, so I asked his friends and he was all "ew why are you taking to him". There was no learning experience to be had, it was just shit I had to deal with. Though now his friends understood what my beef was and he was looking like a prick so it subsided.

My kids aren't going through that, they are going to study to achieve their potential and be happy, not thrown into a hellhole where they get tortured by some kid a year older than their parents claim yet was still held back a year. I get that the world isn't a nice place, but damn, we used to live in high trust communities, it doesn't have to get this bad if people inclined to this behavior just fuck off.

That's a meme. Most school shooters are almost never "the quiet weird kid". Their classmates always describe them as a antisocial assholes with a superiority complex.
