Literally, every form of music they've dabbled in for the last 250 years has been labeled degeneracy and then a decade or two the whites are onboard with it.

Early American negro folk music, Gospel, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Rap.

All of it white Americans found shocking and degenerate when it was new. Though you may have a legit point about rap being definitely degenerate as it's literally all about toughness, wealth, or carnal delights; with the most vulgar possible descriptions of those things.

But still, most Americans were cool with rap now. Including myself when I used to militantly hate rap. Back in the 90s, the rock kids would get into fights with the wiggers in school and it was almost like 2 gangs based on which music you prefer.

If I had to bet it's probably CIA psyoping, the timeline lines up with the start of gangster rap and gangster culture in general and the crack cocaine epidemic that was 100% caused by the CIA in the 80s.

There was always a dirty underside in black music but white folks never got to hear it until the era of popular recorded music.
