Of all the Founding Fathers, John Adams was probably the most religious, and so likely had biased views compared to his more Deist contemporaries

If I had to choose between two buttonsโ€”one that made everyone a faithful Christian and another that made everyone an atheistโ€”I would choose the Christian one.

>the government shall make no laws infringing upon the free exercise of religion

the most important part of the bill of rights. What this implies is that using the proper religious justifications, Christians collectively are free to fix the problems with the world around them.

Consider that Christians collectively form the body of God upon the earth, and that they are called to do in God's name the things which ensure their eternal life and glorify the heavenly kingdom. That license can be interpreted to allow for the subjugation of threats to their well being, even to expelling such threats from their domain.

The constitutionality of the supremacy of the Christian God composed of the people of God is enshrined in the United States, and all required is that they flex their authority unflinchingly.

C'mon anon, tell me
Which sect of Christianity?
There are over 45,000 sects of your one-true religion
So which one? Do you want everyone to just be a random sect of Christianity? That doesn't sound too conducive to social cohesion though does it? Or do you just want everyone to be YOUR sect of Christianity, while everyone else is just fucked over
Amazing how one simple question completely erases your schizoid fantasy.

>Which sect
It doesn't even matter which. All a group of them must do is make it clear they do this or that in the name of God to glorify the heavenly kingdom or ensure the eternal life of God's people. Having done so, no action can be taken against them legally because that is their enshrined right.

That doesn't really work in the real world because different sects have different standards for what constitutes Gods will. What you're really advocating is anarchy, because by your standard anyone can just make up some religious justification in order to get away with something

You are right to be afraid. The power seeded to them by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution is awesome. Be glad that they are generally concerned with pleasing the God of all righteousness, and that the eternal life of their people is their primary concern. Pose no threat to them and they are unlikely to wield that sword against you.

You are correct, even the killing of the children of the enemies of God's people can be righteous if it serves to ensure the eternal life of God's people. The horrors and bloodshed that can be unleashed through the exercise of their authority can be truly terrifying, and I hope they are never forced to draw upon that power.

Calvinism isn't wrong, in so much as the ones who wield the authority must elect to do so, and so are the elect. Many do not, and so can not be.

The Constitution should be updated and modified to keep up with new generations and new problems that need tackling
This is literally what Thomas Jefferson himself supported
