If Natives had been resistant to Old World diseases then the Americas would still be majority Native and colonization would have looked more like African & Indian colonization rather than settler-colonies.

Because during the time when the majority of settlers were leaving Europe for greener pastures, Africa was largely inhospitable due to various factors such as disease.
By the time Europeans were able to colonize deeply into Africa there were already plenty of stable nations outside of Europe such as the USA to migrate to.
Africa was colonized primarily for resources.

A combination of things, Africans were already resistant to Old World Diseases and the continent has diseases which made colonizing the interior difficult, so there was no mass die off of native inhabitants meaning the population weren't as easy to displace as in the Americas. Malaria, Sleeping Sickness, the TseTse fly, and climates Europeans generally don't like to live in. The places with the most amount of Whites in the New World and elsewhere have either Temperate or Mediterranean climates similar to most of Europe.
