They have over a billion people and still trail behind the US in terms of nominal GDP, has the HDI of Mexico, and is not even in the top 60 in terms of per capita GDP. China does not owe its success to communism, they owe it to their massive labor pool. With over a billion people, if they were under literally any other economic system they would've conquered the solar system by now

Because they had purges of the most retarded/ideological officials in the 20th century, have been stable since then, and they haven't had enough time for dysfunctions and corruption to rot them out from the inside

It really is. Westoids hate it, but no major nation has ever risen this massively, this fast (3 decades) than China had.

I can see Global South nations attempting to apply this model in the next few decades.

"Liberal Democracy" isn't an economic system, also India is technically a Parliamentary republic

It could have ended way worse. This is literally one of few best case scenarios for China.

Then china has had basically the same economic system as the rest of the world since the gang of 4 got arrested, heavily regulated capitalism. I don't see what's so noteworthy about that

It was the natural conclusion of Mao's New Democracy. People today accuse Dengism of being class collaborationist, nationalist, and fascist even though those same accusations were leveled against New Democracy too.

You can deny a lot of things, but you cannot deny that this is the single best system for underdeveloped countries. Imagine going from poorer than the Congo to being a global powerhouse with cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai in 30 years.
