They're interesting as an Arab minority with a hideous flag that has beefed off and on with the Sunni Muslims in their midst. A couple of years ago, some Fatah guys tried to bargain the corpse of a Druze teenager killed in a car accident near Jenin for some of their prisoners in Israeli jails. The IDF freaked out and thought they were about to careen into a big crisis until the Israeli Druze grabbed a couple of Palestinian laborers, tortured them, and threatened their lives until they got the body back. It worked. The Druze attitude towards the Jews was like "you guys look cute in your uniforms and all, but we got this." They were displaying corpses of Sunni tribal fighters on the hoods of their trucks in Syria during the fighting over the past few days. Of course a lot of them got killed too.
