The vast majority of American war history is them relying on superior firepower or some bullshit advantage. There's never been a time in history where America has fought toe to toe on fair ground against an enemy of equal strength.

The entire point of military strategy is using your sides "bullshit advantages" or exploiting other "bullshit advantages" to win. You think William the Conqueror told his men to dismount and ordered his archers to draw spears because it wouldn't be 'sporting' to defeat a side that had neither trained horsemen or archers at Hastings?

Picking fights against nations stronger than you is stupid and by the mid-20th century America was stronger than almost every other nation so there was no one of equal strength to fight.

Americans don't have a loyalty to the government, they have loyalty to an idea. It's entirely utopian and retarded and that's that the US can be some sort of force for good and impose its will on other countries. The US was founded with the idea that in order to raise an army to go overseas you'd need to have people pissed off enough to fight it themselves. So having our military overseas at all is symbolically a big deal. The US being in a state of constant war preparedness since WWII with bases all over the globe is hilariously contradictory to what the US is supposed to be. That being said who wouldn't have respect for their own military?

No it’s not the entire point of strategy is that you overcome your enemies advantage without squandering your own.
America consistently fails to make good use of its advantages. It’s unbelievably wasteful and incompetent and totally unable to overcome being an underdog.
America has never won an underdog war nor have they ever won a war efficiently. They always had a too big to fail advantage which they squandered because their army is failed NFL coaches and failed NFL players.

Seething mutts.
America lost the war of 1812 to Britain. America tried to invade Canada four different times and lost every time.
America struggled against Germany in both world wars.
America lost to China in the Korean War.
America threw away Vietnam due to sheer militarily incompetence.
The Americans are not a warrior people.
>NOOO IN FROM ALABAMA MY ANCISTORS R FITING MENS
no they’re not. Anglo Saxons are a peace loving people who are at their best when living on a semi civilized frontier. They aren’t a warrior people. I’m sorry but you’re not warriors. Doesn’t mean you aren’t men. Doesn’t mean you aren’t masculine. But you aren’t a martial race.

>America lost the war of 1812 to Britain.
And then a British army larger then all the American forces that invaded Canada combined was completely destroyed when they tried to counter invade the US. This is why the War of 1812 is considered a stalemate not a defeat.

>America struggled against Germany in both world wars.
You do know that the US and UK are the only two powers who had a 1 to1 K/D ratio with Nazi Germany right?

>America lost to China in the Korean War
See this one is funny because you can't reasonably argue that the US lost both the War of 1812 and the Korean War. It would have to be one or the other if your going with the idea that the aggressor nation loses if the conflicts ends in a stalemate. Also a million plus dead Chinese for 30k American is just fucking funny.

>America threw away Vietnam due to sheer militarily incompetence.
The US won every single battle it had with the Viet-Con, usually with massively lopsided casualties. The war was simply too unpopular with the American people to be winnable.

>The Americans are not a warrior people.
Far more then most and probably the most successful too.

>Anglo Saxons

>America lost the war of 1812 to Britain.
Indeed, America is lucky Britain was distracted by Napoleon or it could've been disastrous. But America was also a country less than 30 years old going up against the most powerful Empire the world had ever seen. America struggled in Canada but the British were repulsed in New York and New Orleans with significant casualties.
>America struggled against Germany in both world wars.
So did everyone else.

>America lost to China in the Korean War.
That is an interesting interpretation of the Korean war. Lots of people consider it a draw, but it was the North Koreans who really lost. They started the war and failed in every single objective they had for the conflict. South Korea remained free as the US wished, and China kept US forces off its border by retaining NK as a buffer.

China had one objective in mind and that pushing the Americans out of their Korean buffer zone, which they managed to achieve using "human wave" tactics (infiltration, shock, schwerpunkt) while the Americans had tanks, artillery, and air support, they could not prevent the Chinese from accomplishing this goal. What fleet did Iraq have? What was the size of their airforce? Did they have long range interceptors?
You say 4th largest in the world.
In what? Manpower? Wars aren’t waged with men but with materiel. How many modern tanks were they producing? How many ballistic missiles?
Denmark had an airforce, armor, artillery, they did not differ significantly from Germany in tech level.
I would even say Germany had less of an advantage over Denmark than the U.S. had over Iraq.
The US also had the entire coalition backing them logistically.

>Poland hadnt recovered
Their army was larger and more advanced, they had the first modern skyline in Europe, they had a very well developed citizen militia and armed forces, one of the strongest in Eastern Europe.
Before Germany smashed everyone, Poland was the major power of Eastern Europe, France the major power of the world. Poland‘s General staff literally believed they were going to hold Germany back for years. They fell in 35 days.

Germany subdued Denmark in only 6 hours.

Germany’s only advantage was manpower.

The US army simply isn’t impressive. Iraqis had also lost to Iranian militias armed with pistols. Not exactly heavy weights.
