Saying an omnipotent God suffered for your own sins is like saying a public servant pays income taxes.
Suffering can only occur in the absence of power

Russell stood in judgement of God. Now, he's experiencing God's judgement. Enjoy Hell, freak.

but jesus had no power. he was a poor carpenter who could occasionally perform a miracle towards the final few years of his life, but he lived 99% as just a regular working class member of a occupied nation.

jesus was not a chicken sacrificed for your sins, he went to the cross so that after rising his people could collectively identify as his body and do in his name with God's authority all the things necessary for salvation. That was the only path for the unification of God into one, the redemption of the fall, the fulfillment of the promise.

You are no doubt confused because you believe christians worship some external false idol but that is not a path which can ever give his people salvation from anything.

You know God being all-powerful kinda trivializes all of this right?

Jesus is not The God. God made Jesus a God to the universe.

As a bureaucrat, I can assure you that paying income tax back to the same entity that pays my wage is an even more Kafkaesque and miserable experience than it was to pay income tax before I joined the regime.

It's an empty ritual, as groundless as the idea that God can both be omnipotent and subjected to torture.
People accepting it doesn't make it conceptually valid

True. You will never get it right, cause when you lie in bed at night, watching roaches climb the wall, if you called your dad he could stop it all.

That's right. An experience literally did not happen if you had some options to go around it. Lol.

I don't feel anything regardless of any option I have or haven't. As per my point that experiences don't depend on your options.

If your employers pays you 1000 bucks but pays 200 of that to itself to respend on something else they just pay you 800 bucks, they just tell you something different.

It doesn't do that though, for every 1000 bucks it gives the public servant, it removes 200 from circulation as a deflationary measure so that the public servant doesn't lose as much purchasing power over time. The government doesn't use the taxes you give it, the government prints the money, sets aside money for its own use, and when you give them tax money, the total money supply is reduced as a deflationary tactic.

If the income tax is deducted from your payroll, they might as well tell you that they're paying you a million dollars per month, of which 995,000 is withheld as income tax
