>George III was only 22 when he took the throne
>Seven Years War ends three years later
>shit starts hitting the fan with the colonies immediately after that
>George was literally all of 25 when he had a colonial uprising on his hands

>got really depressed?
George III did not "get depressed"
He was seriously mentally ill, diagnosing people who have been dead for hundreds of years is usually trouble but medical historians have pretty much coalesced around a Manic Depressive + either Bipolar I or Bipolar II
It's a wonder that he was able to accomplish anything at all
Legitimately one of the greatest English monarchs of all time

Manic depressive and bipolar are the same thing, and they both imply by definition a shift between mania and depression. Therefore he did get depressed.

If you have manic depression then you "get depressed." It's how it works. You're in a long period of mania, and then you get depressed. It's not my fault you can't look at this admittedly very mediocre ruler and admit that he got depressed. You're probably not very good at accepting facts, but also cling to your opinions. That's why you're considered a loser, right?

Rookie numbers
Charles XII was only 15 years old when the largest war in Swedens history was initiated. Russian empire, Denmark-Norway, Poland Lithuania, Saxony, all coordinated a sudden attack on Sweden, believing the boy king wouldn't have the nerves. He defeated all of them (battle of Narva being one of Swedens greatest victories) until his army got caught in the Russian winter on their way to Moscow to deliver the final knockout blow. The tired, starved and frostbitten army was eventually intercepted at Poltava where it was destroyed by the Russians.

Based.
It's almost hard to fathom how George could have been such an unabashedly retarded sovereign. The stupid fucker literally gets handed the entire N. American continent and instead of consolidating it for the Empire he starts lighting fires under his own ass with shit like the Quebec Act. Then, even after British troops and Hessian mercenaries have fucking attacked their city, the colonists throw him a bone with the Olive Branch Petition and he spits dead-center in their face. Just one unbelievably retarded move after another

What did he accomplish other than mostly staying out of the government's way?

Well most of the time he interfered, he didn't exactly make things better, which is why I am asking which of his accomplishments made him one of the greatest English monarchs of all time

He was a retarded strategist
>Peter the Great offers to essentially give back everything and throw Poland and Denmark under the bus if he can keep Narva and St. Petersburg
>Refuse
>Decide to invade Russia
>Through the middle of the country and not along the coast where your army will be retaking lost territory and can be supplied via the sea
>Get distracted from Moscow by the possibility of a Cossack uprising
>After Cossack rebels are slaughtered continue pressing on in the hopes winning a battle could somehow change your army's abysmal situation
Even if he won at Poltava Peter would have rebuilt his army, the Cossacks wouldn't join him because all the ones who tried were dead, and his army was still starved, low on men, and dying. Honestly his best move even upon a victory would be to give up all his gains and go home with a Napoleon style bloodbath retreat.
