NDE shit is garbage on the level of young earth creationism. Out of body experiences can be induced. The Air Force did a shitload of research into acceleration induced loss of consciousness. They found that by holding someone at the point just above total unconsciousness, they could reliably induce out-of-body experiences that mirror near-death-experiences. The brain gets starved of oxygen and as it loses communication with the sensing organs, it fills in the gaps with either lights, memories, or constructed events. Pilots and test members report dreamlike states floating towards distant lights, going fishing with parents who have passed away, and viewing their current selves from a third-person perspective.

All NDEs are is oxygen deficient brains losing track of the body and filling in the gaps with whatever it can. It's like claiming muscle cramps after running is Jesus punishing you for pride or some weird nonsense.

Assuming that consciousness ends with the death of the brain, you cannot experience non-existence and time is a product of human consciousness rather than a physical thing. So when you die your subjective experience is that your life resets and you re-experience your life again since birth (but you don't know that so it feels like it's the first).
