Often its said that there was no philosphy and neither philosphers in mesoamerica to demerit it but this is false.
We know that the texcoco intelectuals from calmecac started a philosphy tradition in the aztec empire.
The founding father of this texcocan philosphy was Nezahualcoyotl, which was called the "King Poet", since he was the most important tlamatini (term which literally means wise mean and which Leon Portillo, an historian has considered the nahuatl translation of philospher).
His poems often treat themes like divinity and nature.
Most of his poems are recorded in the books called "Cantares mexicanos" and " Romances de los señores de la Nueva España".

Like how aligning yourselves with their demons would ‘purify’ your soul? He’s another agent of satan whose word you shouldn’t heed

It's a shame the works of the Maya were destroyed. We will never know in truth the depth of their philosophy, religion, etc.

First of all its "a historian" not "an historian" and their philosophy could be described as "dialectical monism" in the west.

He converted to Christianity on his deathbed. His descendants said so.
