The Bush family is neck deep in the oil business and has dealings with the Saudis, probably with the Osama Clan too.

Their first president for Afghanistan was somebody they knew from a failed Afghan pipeline project. Presidents could not run their own business (up to now, any future president absolutely can), but he's still unlikely to make the right call when his own money's at stake.
