The way I see it, there's 3 reasons to identify as a Jew.
1: You genuinely believe in the religious tenants of Judaism
2: You were raised Jewish and culturally identify with Jewish traditions, holidays, etc
3: You want to feel as though you're a part of a special minority who is superior to the masses of humanity
