Kind of wild to think the frontline went from Pearl Harbor to almost within visible sight, can you imagine the fear he must've felt knowing that the actual fucking American army was in town with one single man being their object of hatred and revenge and then, after the Tokyo trials, Americans forgave him & invited him to Disneyland in California in 1975 like nothing happened?

They really let him off the hook and displayed him as a "powerless figurehead" to the public, all because they wanted a peaceful relationship with Japan.
