Suppose I live in a constitutional parliamentary democracy & I personally do not believe in democracy. I'm also rich & wealthy, could I sponsor a political party to partition the country (it has many uninhabited islets). So that I receive a small island & partition it into another sovereign country & crown myself as absolute monarch (King)

>Does the partition of a country need to be discussed/debated in a parliament or are there any loopholes/ways to bypass this?

Finally after receiving the said island, could I just contact a superpower like China, to install a military base on the said island

In exchange for their protection, I would negotiate shares in their governmental companies, funding of all my royal budget/financial expenses and lifestyle (including my official crowning ceremony, the construction of a royal palace, the payment of my employees that is maids/housekeepers, chefs/cooks, security/guards/bodyguards, etc...) (Those employees would be chinese) & the support of China in securing full membership at the United Nations as a sovereign country.

They would also have access to the land to construct luxury resorts/hotels, apartments, casinos, commercial estates, etc.. of course, I would take 10 percent shares of those investments & assets as the land & sea area would be provided by me.

The chinese would also have full rights to use land reclamation projects to expand the land for construction.

My new country would also only use the chinese yuan as the only legal tender.

>Are there are any disadvantages this?
