I know history is written from the victors, but the level of hypocrisy shown by anglos is simply staggering.

Crying 'hypocrisy' is weaksauce. Everyone was a backstabbing colonizer... Anglos, Italians, all of them.

italy went to war, and hundreds of italians died. all of this for nothing. why? because treaties are inks on a page. woodrow wilson interfered with the treaty and effectively annulled it, and france and UK were more than happy to play dumb and allow the USA to do so, because they feared italy's influence would extend to the danube. basically they realized they offered italy too much and backed on their words, like the vermin they are.

sounds like a giant pipe dream, italy got raped hard by greece during ww2 so there's zero chance they would have romelarped over a big chunk of the balkans

but it ain't. go check it yourself.
> italy got raped hard by greece during ww2
and italy raped turkey hard, and italy occupied ethiopia in 7 months, and italy annexted albania in less than a week. your point being? greece failed because there was no planning, it was literally decided overnight. i'm sure you're familiar with stuff like this, like the british losing against zulus or americans against afghan goatfuckers.

Okay, here's the actual history then.
>hey Anglo, I know I didn't do anything in the war, but you promised me the territory, which is now occupied by new allies of yours, who declared their independence before I got to them and did more than I ever did in the war
>so could you please betray your own allies like I betrayed mine and give me free stuff, even though I didn't fight for it and thus don't deserve it?

The fuck are you even talking about?
Italy got most of the territory promised, with the exception of Albanian protectorate and the territory around Zara

Today the English and Italians are actually on pretty good terms with each other, considering they're both crazy about football

Or maybe it's because there's nothing to fight over. The EU/NATO has essentially placed everyone on the same team

italy only got one thing, and that's istria. italy never received dalmatia, fiume became an indipendent state, didn't get turkey and half of the balcans. you can clearly see them on the map.

italy and britain were in very good terms before ww1. that's mainly because half of the military aristocracy of both the two nations had blood bonds and were intertwined by centuries of arranged marriages.

Those were conquered by force of arms, tardo. They were the main fronts of ww1. Meanwhile italian troops never set foot in anatolia or serbia, but they were promised nonetheless.

Italians literally betrayed Germans and Austrians. They aren't ones to complain about 'treaties'.

von hoetzendorf already planned the invasion of italy already in 1908. he was absolutely foaming at the thought of invading italy, to the point where franz joseph demoted him for being a psychopatic warmonger.

it was asquith's fault the treaty was created in the first place. it was the english who lured the italians away from the central powers with the promise of historically italian lands. a promise that was very enticing, since everyone and their mothers hated austrians in italy. the blame sits suqarely on the english, and later on woodrow wilson personally.
