>short term: they've had an incredibly tiresome and stressful day and are just not in the mood: medium term: unresolved problems in the relationship leads to resentment and as a result a person doesn't want to have sex with their partner
>long term: their partner has gained a lot of weight and as a result they are no longer physically attracted to themSex is a part of a healthy relationship and so a lack of it is probably a sign that something is wrong, and if that is the case then those issues should be resolved instead of making the situation worse by cheating or forcing yourself on your partner.
