Would the Roman Empire surviving have been the only chance for EVROPA to remain relevant?

>roman empire still exists in 2023
>hasn't pushed further in Germania or Persia or the black sea or even fucking northern Britannia or Ireland

I'm not sure about Persia, but a surviving, unified Roman Empire would own probably most of Europe up to the Ural mountains. No one barring the Vikings up in Scandinavia would exist.

Literally the only thing that would have been needed for Europe to maintain it's position was not to fall for the retarded austerity meme. But of course, all the little hitlers out there could never have withstood seeing workers happy.

After WW2, Europe was never relevant again. Unless you unironically think the "EU" a trade bloc is an actual global player.

It literally was up until 2008 when neoliberals decided to kneecap the economy forever by imposing retarded austerity measures.

Europe could be way more relevant if we would form a proper federal nation.
I don't think the vast majority wants that.

Liberalism is strictly speaking an European invention, yes, which is why Europe has no future. Rome and the colonial empires were the last time Europe was relevant, and they did not have enlightenment values.
