To say he was a King Kong fan is a stretch. Literally only one person, Ernst Hafenstaengl, mentioned that Hitler went to see King Kong ONCE and then speculated about why he liked it. Many people close to Hitler were quite specific about the topics Hitler liked to ramble on about (as Heinrich Hoffman recounts in his memoirs); King Kong wasn't one of those topics.

Small, curious facts are transformed and magnified by pop history into disinformation.
