I'm reading Baburnama (His autobiography), it's pretty depressing how he is clearly more passionate about plants, fruit, animals and poetry rather than being a conqueror. he would write long ass descriptive paragraph about mangoes, watermelons and exotic animals in india while his actual military campaign and conquest only got like one or two brief lines with dates on it. this nigga literally CRIED after his afghan governor sent him mangoes from his hometown as a gift.
