Speer recounts that he made disparaging comments in Eva's presence, like "the wife of an important man must not have much intelligence" (or something like that), but otherwise treated her with delicacy. He liked to play the old-fashioned gentleman, bcs when he was just starting out in politics, women like Helene Bechstein taught him manners that way. You could say his behavior toward her was one of benevolent condescension. He naturally had a paternalistic nature. But his insecurity prevented him from tolerating overly empowered women. He wasn't one of those misogynistic men who didn't want to see a woman. He enjoyed the company of women, but he didn't want them to stray from the role of innocent, superficial, and happy creatures. In fact, this is very clear in his disgust with Eleanor Roosevelt.
So unless you name Eva Braun as your political successor or something like that, you can't say you would treat her better than he did.
