In the past Christian conservatives were the ones who were obsessed with censoring and banning media that they didn't like, which made atheism cool among younger people. But now it's secular progressives who are censoring and banning everything.

That's just American culture, honestly. Which springs from their Protestant upbringing which propagates that everything outside of their dogma is bad.
JD Vance was an ex Protestant who wrote a book about how the bunker mentality promoted by Protestantism is what led to damages in his family as when his uncle voted a candidate he didn't like, he felt betrayed. He is a Catholic now

While Protestants were howling over satanic lyrics in media, the Pope blessed the Pokemon movie for promoting Friendship

One thing I learned in my journey is that you should not expect too much.
In fact, expect to be disillussioned. The Church would always be a disappointment because we are corrupted. They have God's guidance right in front of them and yet, they still act like ordinary people, which would always disappoint

But nevertheless, God allowed them to have that position and we have to respect that.
Even Jesus had to be baptized by someone inferior. The Law and the proper chain of command takes priority over personal opinion over the person.

Their duty is to deliver the sacraments. Everything else can be ignored

Since atheism by itself is just one position on one topic, though it's one position that happens to knock-down Christianity which is the dominant religion in the west, in order for it to spread an alternative to Christianity had to provided along with it -- another "religion."

And unfortunately the religion it got incorporated into seems to have been physicalism (for the metaphysics) and the social justice movement (for the values and community). And that pretty much amounted to religion but with all the annoying parts kept in and all of the meaningful, spiritual parts left out. Which is pretty pathetic.

I still think atheism is right as a position in itself. I just think it needs a better "religion" to be incorporated into before the masses will accept it.

In November 2022, Adam was silently praying near an abortion facility. He had his back to the building to make it clear that he was not trying to disrupt anyoneโ€™s privacy.
Adam was praying for his son, whom he lost to an abortion 22 years prior. He was also praying for the men and women facing difficult decisions about abortion that day.
Put more plainly, Adam was being punished for a thoughtcrime, standing and praying quietly inside a censorship zone.

Atheism, in it's lacking of any rules or accountability, would be easily spread and quickly adopted without need for flavoring if not for its conspicuous lack of substance. As it stands, atheism amounts primarily to being a contrarian movement against Christianity, which gives it a religiosity in and of itself. Moreover, the science fiction fetish of recent decades has been closely aligned with atheist ideas, which made it trendy for people of all ages to distract from faith in order to pursue vain technological ambitions. If you need more than the entire sci-fi phenomenon to be the catalyst for your ideas, then their failure to stick is on the basis of merit. Faith lasts longer for those who have it, even in a modern world which is openly hostile against it, and that's got nothing to do with it being part of any specific religion.

Unironically because they're genuinely stupid. I'm not one of those people who thinks religious people are dumb, far from it in fact. Many smart people are religious. However, not many religious people are smart. Does that make sense? 90% of Gen Z believers believe because all their friends and family do, and they don't want to be left out. But naturally, due to zoomers being literal retarded fucks, they turn religion into another fad. They post about Jesus/Muhammad/Krishna on social media instead of going to church.other place of worship. And they brand anyone who disagrees with them as a "reddit atheist" making it uncool to diverge from their beliefs. It's all a fucking popularity thing. Keep in mind gen Z is also the most anti-intellectual anti-art generation we've had in a while, so they don't want to discuss things or challenge their worldviews. I'm not religious myself, but I do have quite a fondness for some religions. However, gen Z makes a mockery of all of this, and I think they might kill religion for good.

Zoomer here, things might be different in America, but what you are describing is mosltly a thing that is confined to social media.
Most normie zoomers are a-religious or at most spiritual but not religious types
What ever part of the trad cath trad christian stuff spills over to real life is either larp, preformative or a desperate atempt to get some type of identity out of it (identity is something my generation does strugle with). It is true that there is an increase in zoomers going the trad cath route but the caviat is that most of them don't believe it.Sure they will go through the converts' eagerness phase and try really hard, but what non of the xitter trad accounts will tell you is that most of these trad zoomers end up leaving christianity 6 months to a year later. Why? Because they have been promissed a bunch of things and christianity (especially catholicism) failed to deliver on any of them.

In fact I expect that the trad cath is going to pass sooner rather than later

No it didn't. However, it has t be said:
Atheism as a movement and not just an aspect of something bigger was basically a uniquely American phenomenon. It could only exist in the U.S and in very specific conditions. Those conditions just don't exist anymore. So Atheism went back into just being a single element of wider belief systems.
Lots of confusion began when Americans turned atheism into another confessional religion.

Hey there tradcaths!
Reminder If you
>dont firmly support all actions taken by all of the popes and the catholic church
>dont go to church EVERY SUNDAY and participate in church events
>dont donate to the church
>dont regularly kneel down and pray privately
>ever watch porn without feeling shame and going to confession about it
>are not hard working and diligent
>insult and berate people with different opinions online
>dont pray for the salvation of people who oppose you and instead just sit around fantasizing about them burning in hell
>are not willing to forgive people for all kinds of past sins so long as they repent
Then you're a fake ass fraud, and its fashion not faith to you. Most of these apply to Protestants and Orthodox too so you're not weaseling out of it that way either. If you want to be Christian you have to actually follow the teachings of the bible.

Larpers love to respond to ideas like this(fundamental tenants of christianity since its origin) like this with random quotes about israelites defending themselves from marauding armies or not letting people with no interest in redemption corrupt or exploit their churches as if they contradict or disprove them, or make the opinions of the actual catholic church and all of the popes invalid.

FPBP. Very few, if any, are converting because they have serious religious convictions. Most of them are just they because they hate secularism and/or because they think it will be a place to find some pure virgin to marry. That's why they all immediately hop on the debate bro train and start trying to argue with people after a month of going to church.

Keyword on guidance
Being guided doesn't translate to breaking one's freewill

Being a teacher in the Church doesn't grant you immunity or safety. In fact, it does the opposite. It gives you responsibility and you will be made accountable for neglecting or rejecting God's will

The Apostolic Succession is merely the continuation of the Rabbinic Succession that Jesus himself undergone

To be a Rabbi requires Semikha from another Rabbi. This is a succession that links all the way to Moses. Jesus requiring John the Baptist's Semikha in order to become a Rabbi is a testimony to the fact that the chain was never broken

It was never broken then
And it will not be broken now
