is capitalism really the best thing we came up with?

We didnt really come up with it. We just explored what was already happening and made it go faster. We also added structures like OSHA so that after you were done bawling about how they started enforcing the no airbuds policy you were still alive to go see your baby accomplish other arbitrary milestones.

Well you studied history OP
Have you seen any viable alternatives to capitalism in your own studies?

It may be exploitive and a tad autocratic, but it's the best we got. Unless you have a better idea, OP.

No, we should go back to feudalism or socialism where people famously didn't have to work

Europe can go back to feudalism.
Socialism a rough sale for North America. Particularly the U.S.A. I say there should be a trial run in the New England states. It already leans in that direction there anyway.
New York will possibly get a Democratic Socialist mayor, so it will compliment that.

Wait...who is watching the baby?
Did she hire a babysitter? Why not have her husband take care of the kid while she's at work?
Or why not have the husband work instead so she can raise her kid?
Do both the mother and father need to work so they can afford to take care of the baby? Then why have a kid in the first place if you know you can't afford one? Or at least don't have one expecting to be able to maintain the same (surely overindulgent) lifestyle
Is she a single mother? Because if she is that's a pretty big red flag
I don't know man, I'm pretty suspicious of this stunt.

The text on the picture doesn't make sense. Watching a baby sit up doesn't cause your body to move itself to your job.

I cant imagine it would be, anyone coming up with different political systems have no way to test and refine it. Imagine an alternative reality where we cant test many building materials and we largely use clay, we tried dirt and hay too but those didnt work as well. It would be incredibly unlikely that the few materials we tried just so happened to be the best possible materials for buildings

We probably already know a few that would end up with a far better result but its stuck as a theory in some book or in its baby form

Every criticism of capitalism is essentially a criticism of freedom. Capitalism is an oldschool CRPG with choice and consequence. Other systems are shitty Bethesda RPGs where everything scales to your level or Bioware dating sim.

Most mainstream economists don’t use crude and rigid terms like “capitalism” or “communism” to describe the intricate and delicate ecosystem that is the economy

>don't have a baby you can't afford
Used to be you can raise kids comfortably on one source of income. Now you can't even with both parents working. Instead of fixing this, our (((ruling elite))) just prefers to import endless Indians.
