It's so hard to care about this sort of thing, as long as the main product (the music) is unchanged. If each variant of the album had a unique song, I could start to see the issue, but simply offering different variants of the album with different artwork and flavor text? Who cares. If you're going to buy a physical copy, nice, you have some choice of aesthetic. If you like to collect things, also nice, there's some fun variety there to seek out. But the idea that it's evil to offer a range of choices because some people might feel personally compelled to act irresponsibly ... that's silly.
