>>7583099>I wonder why the interest took a nosediveI was thinking about this, because I don't necessarily think it was the sexual tiles, though we're seeing a fair few people say they're not happy with the sex stuff, so I think it's rather the TYPE of sexual tiles.
I don't think anyone here is prudish enough to be turned away by a cock or a titty, there's some in the previous map after all, nor was anyone upset when the ahegaoing eels first popped up, but I think with tiles such as c2, c5, and b8, it's a different kind of tone and amount of sexuality.
We went from playboy cartoons, to deviantart fetishism - from classy to depraved.
Had c2 had the tentacle still covering up the prisoners junk, it'd probably not have gone too far,
had c5 had Aerial's butt pointed away from us and implied the sex instead of directly showing it, it'd probably wouldn't have gone to far,
and had b8... well, b8 is and old dude with titties being anally fucked and leaking cum out of his dick, it's a bit hard to salvage on this front, haha.
Anyway, I'm not saying any of these tiles are bad, or any one tile is to blame, but I think people are turned off by it - and because it's on the left, middle, and right of the map, it's basically the entire map in a lot of people eyes, you're probably going to have to interact with them on some level (notice how the cat from a3 became the tentacle dick monster of c2).
Add on to this, I think the theme (underwater) is a little niche. Personally it doesn't do much for me, though I still contributed a few tiles because I like these threads, but I imagine others thought "Oh fish and mermaids? Yawn. I'm out".
So yeah, it's just a map theme that doesn't catch many's eyes, and then further filters possible contributors with the more extreme sex stuff.
Just my dumbass two cents on it.
Anyway, just ten to go!
